MEET MITCHELL
Educational and professional backgroundGraduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 1982.
Called to the Bar of Ontario in 1984 and admitted to the Bar of the State of California in 1985.
Articled and practiced litigation with McCarthy Tetrault from 1982 to 1988.
Obtained a Masters in Business Administration degree from Columbia University in New York in 1989.
After obtaining his MBA, started and ran a number of entrepreneurial businesses for 20+ years. Returned to the practice of law in 2012 with a sole focus on the litigation of business disputes.
Appeared in all levels of the Court system in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Also active in all administrative tribunals with experience in mediation and arbitration.

My commitment to you.Litigation is stressful and expensive. My job is to help you manage that stress and obtain the best possible result for you as cost-efficiently as possible. In my 20+ years in the business world, I realized many highly qualified lawyers don’t understand this is the most important thing they can do for their clients.
Not all clients’ needs are the same. A good lawyer recognizes that and tailors an approach that is right for each client. For some clients, early resolution of the dispute should be the priority. For other clients, a longer fight is what’s needed to obtain the hard-earned result the client wants. I present the options; you decide what is right for you; I follow those instructions. While one size does not fit all, one approach to client service is always present. Straightforward advice explained in clear, practical language and prompt responsiveness to all client communication.
